Today’s a state holiday — and with all the parades and fireworks and family parties, my husband kindly went to the grocery store, taking the toddler with him… which gave me some free time for ART!
Those of you watching my Twitter feed (@puffbird) will have seen some of these WIPs as I’ve been working on them. This one is one foot by three feet, in acrylic. It’s coming along. I’m trying to get it done in time for the August 17 show.
There’s also the floating tree:
This has been floating around a while, as I tried to figure out how to tackle the leaves. I’m not sure if this will work or not, but I’ll find out by doing.
And then there’s my little Facade:
Tiny, and I thought she was done, but then I thought I might go back in with ink for the outlines. So she might not be done after all, but it shouldn’t take too long to finish up.
